Each visitor become a summit sponsor / and help get the Mont Blanc massif acknowledged as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO


Briefing:

Task: develop a digital campaign as homage to the impressive mountain and the new collection “Tribute to the Mont Blanc”.
. Make the brand slightly younger
. Long-term increase in the market share amongst younger target groups
. Generate awareness for the collaboration between Montblanc & the environmental organisation (NAME)
. Make the brand more attractive for a younger, more modern target group

Realisation:

. In the web special the Mont Blanc mountain is shown in photos taken from a 360-degree perspective for the first time
. Montblanc presents the mountain’s multifaceted history to the public, hereby documenting and preserving a natural monument for future generations
. The user can fly around the Mont Blanc with a 360-degree view and discover exciting stories about the six glaciers
. During the flight, the viewer can take photographs of the most beautiful views and share them with friends on Facebook
. Each visitor can become a summit sponsor and help get the Mont Blanc massif acknowledged as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO

Design:

. The recorded material is played with Flash, providing the user with full interaction
. In addition to the 360-degree experiential video, the new pen is also shown with 3D-animated tracking shots, which are later embedded in Flash as a video

Special:

. The filming was performed with an innovative 360-degree camera
. The camera was custom-built with six lenses, five pointing in all directions and one pointing towards the ground
. Similar to Google Street View technology, the video enables the user to move in all directions, making it a completely new video experience
