Briefing:
| . | Task: conceptual design of a digital measure to locally promote the "Atlantis Nature and Environment Film Festival" at the Wiesbaden Caligari Film Theatre
| . | Target group: regional viewers as well as the film industry (film makers, rentals, etc.)
| . | Objective: to generate awareness and boost visitor numbers at the film festival |
Realisation:
| . | Concept: the biggest interactive touchscreen in Germany in contact with nature
| . | A display window in the Wiesbaden city centre was transformed into a Multitouch Screen, inviting passersby to interact with it
| . | The content mainly consists of clips from the films shown at the event
| . | The users can turn a wheel to choose the film clip they want to watch
| . | Due to the Multitouch function several people can use the application simultaneously by touching the surface of the display window, initially revealing a blurred version of the contents of the film clips |
Design:
| . | Scaled down and secretive, it symbolises the immersion in another dimension/ in the events of the film
| . | Clear – the focus is on the film trailers
| . | Simple and intuitive navigation |
Special:
| . | The installation makes it possible to interact with usually static display windows; the user is therefore no longer merely a viewer, but can also intervene and influence the content personally
| . | Due to the Multitouch function several people can use the application simultaneously
| . | Technical features: Multitouch infrared tracking with touchlib, Flash AS3 frontend, DMX control of the LED floodlights with vvvv |
