The Latest Way to Play the Game

During the European Championships Scholz & Volkmer worked together with Samsung to launch an extraordinary real-time campaign with World Cup hero Mario Götze. The idea was for the footballer to watch all the TV highlights before and during the European Championship and to comment on them using his high coverage Social Media channels with the hash tag “GoetzeGuckt” (“Goetzeiswatching”). With his real-time posts, he animated football fans to buy a Samsung SUHDTV for the European Championships. The social network campaign was supported by contextual banner ads. Scholz & Volkmer also developed and shot the key visual for the accompanying promotional campaign.
