The Conference on the Visualization of Information.

Synthetic biology as a design discipline, architecture as activism, nonlinear journalism – these were some of the topics at our 10th see-Conference, one of the biggest design conferences in Germany.

This year, we managed to get the internationally renowned filmmaker Volker Schlöndorff as a guest speaker. Furthermore, Harald Welzer, one of the most esteemed thinkers of our time; Daisy Ginsberg, on the list of the 20 most promising designers of the next decade; Teddy Cruz, architect asking the question: Can design emerge out of a conflict?, Koichiro Tanaka, one of the most creative talents in digital advertising; Van Bo Le-Mentzel, social entrepreneur, known for his Hartz IV-Möbel (social security furniture); and Franchesco Franchi, an infographic designer who has produced a lasting effect on the landscape of news-reporting.

It was an inspiring day at the Schlachthof, which was sold-out, and an equally successful see-Camp the following day.
